The play is based on the real life events during the Sepoy Mutiny period. Halagali, a village in North of Karnataka gets an order from the British to surrender their weapons to the British. But, Halagali Bedaru (Village people) refuse to surrender the weapons and fight for their rights. But, little did they know, that Gowda, the head of the village, is with the British. And the British cleverly uses Gowda to make the village people surrender their weapons. Halagali Bedaru would still fight for their rights!
