About me

I’m a sitar player, a disciple of Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan and Sitar Maestro Shakir Khan. I’ve trained in Vocal and Harmonium music since the age of 10 upto 14, which is when I started playing the sitar. I have participated in and won several instrumental music competitions, including the 50th edition of Mood Indigo, organised IIT Bombay. I have collaborated with different artists from a variety of musical backgrounds, on projects that really test the range of the sitar. I always look forward to projects that try and stretch the scope of instrument, keeping the music intact I’ve been fortunate to receive encouragement and blessings from big names like Anindo Chatterjee, Nayan Ghosh, Purbayan Chatterjee, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Anup Jalota, Tarun Bhattacharya, Milind Raikar, Aditya Kalyanpur, Naveen Kumar, Ramdas Palsule, Flute Jayanth, Mita Nag and many others
