About me

I am a sitar player, disciple of Sitar Maestro Purbayan Chatterjee. I have been practicing sitar from the very tender age of nine. Since then I have been into it. I started my music learning from vocals at the age of six. I belong to New Delhi but now currently I am in Mumbai. I have been working in this profession since last seven-eight years. Have done my studies in music from Delhi university and then shifted to Mumbai to go ahead as a performer. I have collaborated with bands and artists. I have been awarded national scholarship in junior and senior category by Ministry of culture. I have won awards in some prestigious competitions like sangeet samaroh in Jalandhar, National cultural festival of india, IIT cultural festivals etc. I have been into composing original compositions also and have a little interest in Singing too. My first original is Moonlight. Apart from Indian Classical music I have interest in other genres of music.
